About Us

Pastors Donnell and Vianey Mann have a deep-rooted connection to the west side of Houston, where they’ve spent much of their lives. Donnell has a heart for the city and its people, believing that everyone has a unique story, and that God is still at work in each life. His authentic and relatable approach to preaching brings the truths of the Bible to life in a way that resonates with all who hear. Donnell is currently pursuing a degree in Biblical Studies, further deepening his passion for sharing the gospel and empowering others to live out their faith. Vianey, a dedicated educator for over 20 years on the west side, shares a similar passion for impacting lives. She has a special heart for children and students, inspiring them to encounter Jesus and realize that with Him, all things are possible.

Together, Donnell and Vianey lead with a vision to create a church that reflects the beauty of diversity in both culture and generations. Your Story Church, their vision for the future, is a place where everyone, from every walk of life, can experience the transformative power of Jesus Christ. They believe that no matter your past or current circumstances, your story is still being written, and with God, the best chapters are yet to come. Alongside their son Noel, daughter Taylor, and three grandchildren—Mazie, Josiah, and Jeramiah—Pastors Donnell and Vianey invite you to be a part of a community where every story matters and everyone has a place to belong.

At Your Story Church, we believe that every person has a unique, God-given purpose, and we are passionate about helping individuals discover and pursue that purpose in alignment with God’s will. Pursuing purpose means seeking God's direction through prayer, the study of Scripture, and the guidance of the Holy Spirit, while actively using our gifts, talents, and passions to serve others and advance His Kingdom. We believe that living with purpose brings fulfillment and joy, and as we pursue God’s calling on our lives, we not only grow in our faith but also impact the world around us.

RADICAL GENEROSITY

At Your Story Church, we believe in practicing radical generosity, following the example of Jesus, who gave everything for us. Radical generosity goes beyond just giving our resources—it’s about cultivating a heart that is open to sharing time, talents, and treasures with others in ways that reflect God’s abundant love and provision. As a church, we believe that when we embrace radical generosity, we are not just meeting physical needs but also pointing people to the ultimate generosity of God’s grace, which changes hearts and communities for eternity.

What We Believe

The Holy Bible, and only the Bible, is the authoritative Word of God. It alone is the Final authority in determining all doctrinal truths. In its original writing, it is inspired, infallible and inerrant

(2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:20-21; Proverbs 30:5; Romans 16:25-26).

There is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. These three are co-equal and co-eternal

(I John 5:7; Genesis 1:26; Matthew 3:16-17, 28:19; Luke1:35; Isaiah 9:6; Hebrews 3:7-11)

Jesus Christ is God the Son, the second person of the Trinity. On earth, Jesus was 100% God and 100% man. He is the only man ever to have lived a sinless life. He was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, performed miracles, died on the cross for mankind and thus, atoned for our sins through the shedding of His blood. He rose from the dead on the third day according to the Scriptures, ascended to the right hand of the Father, and will return again in power and glory

(John 1:1, 14, 20:28; 1 Timothy 3:16; Isaiah 9:6; Philippians 2:5-6; 1 Timothy 2:5).

Given at Pentecost, it is the promise of the Father, sent by Jesus after His Ascension, to empower the church to preach the Gospel throughout the whole earth

(Joel 2:28-29; Matthew 3:11; Mark 16:17; Acts 1:5, 2:1-4, 17, 38-39, 8:14-17, 10:38, 44-47, 11:15-17, 19:1-6)

The church is the Body of Christ, the habitation of God through the Spirit, with divine appointments for the fulfillment of Jesus’ great commission. Every person who is born of the Spirit is an integral part of the church as a member of the body of believers. There is a spiritual unity of all believers in our Lord Jesus Christ (Ephesians 1:22, 2:19-22; Hebrews12:23; John 17:11, 20-23). The church is the Body of Christ, the habitation of God through the Spirit, with divine appointments for the fulfillment of Jesus’ great commission. Jesus Christ was physically resurrected from the dead in a glorified body three days after His death on the cross. In addition, both the saved and the lost will be resurrected; they that are saved to the resurrection of life and they that are lost to the resurrection of eternal damnation

(Luke 24:16, 36, 39; John 2:19-21, 20:26-28, 21:4; Acts 24:15; 1 Corinthians 15:42, 44; Philippians 1:21-23, 3:21)

Our Kids

At Your Story Church, our Kids Ministry is a vibrant and dynamic space where children not only have fun but also experience the love of Jesus in meaningful ways. We believe every child’s story is unique and part of God’s bigger narrative. Through creative teaching, interactive activities, and a supportive community, our kids are encouraged to encounter Jesus and understand that He is not done yet in their lives. Whether it’s through worship, Bible stories, or hands-on experiences, we aim to help children realize that they are never too young to begin walking in God’s purpose, and that He has incredible plans for their futures. At Your Story Church, we nurture hearts, inspire faith, and empower kids to know that their story is just beginning!
